Essay number two. Compare/Contrast.

I was thinking of comparing growth and television.

Okay. so. my essay topic will be television in the US.  Now and Then.

What percentage of the population owned televisions around the 1960s? now?
Who owns televisions?
who sells televisions?
cost?
What types of programs were aired in the 1950/60s? now?
What were the differences in size, color, picture, etc?

  1. Growth and TV? I'm not sure what you mean... Like, the growth of TV, or personal growth and TV, or something else entirely?
    I thin those topic are really rich though, so there is probably something.

  3. I posted a similar comment on Feather's page but I think that you should stick to doing concrete ideas. Your idea of comparing TV's in the past to current day is good because the central topic is time. However, growth of TV or growth in general is more of an aspect of time, moreover, it can be interpreted in many different ways. But I think you are off to a good start!

    You need a clearer focus. Something like televisions in the 1960s (when it was first in widespread use) and television today.

    Then look at points of comparison such as sponsorship (commercials), programming and community standards, delivery and quantity of programming, "seasons,"
